Domaine de la Terre Rouge, Fiddletown Viognier 2014
91+ Points
Organically-grown in granitic soils; zesty fresh, floral, and spicy aromatics with fruit notes that suggest classic white peach and apricot flavors that seem European as they layer peach skin on pastry shell on something almost briny. It is a flavorful, dry, rich, but almost astringent wine with great energy. This will be a perfect glass pour wine with its lively flavors.

Donkey & Goat, Stone Crusher Rousanne 2016
91 points
This is technically a white wine but with eyes closed it could be taken for a big red. The color is orange, the aromas are earthy and extremely citric, while the flavors are laser focused on orange and lemon zest. Acidity and tannins coat the palate and give it a mouth-puckering grip. It’s not for the meek, but the adventurous will love it. Read more about Donkey and Goat

Nugan Estate, Alfredo Second Pass Shiraz 2013
92 Points
Pretty much nails what you’d expect if you cross a Shiraz with a valpollicella ripasso.
The Second Pass Shiraz is sourced from the family’s premium vineyards in the Riverina, Australia. Maturated in French and American oak for 12 months resulting in a wine of concentration and quality
Attractive aromas of rhubarb and cherry with tobacco, dark chocolate and earth are followed by long and complex palate of ripe raspberries with dark chocolate and velvety tannins with a hint of smoky minerality adding vivacity. Shows excellent clarity and thrust on the finish.
Enjoy with seared lamp or rich, caramelized veal shanks with polenta; aged cheddar cheese.

Ben Glaetzer, Wallace Barossa Valley Shiraz Grenache 2015
91 pts
European traditional values with Australian twist…Glaetzer Wallace takes on the traditional Barossa Valley blend of Shiraz and Grenache in a modern way. The Shiraz brings backbone, flesh and body to the wine with the Grenache adding a soft, vibrant juiciness.
An enticing nose of dark plum, raspberry and lavender with hints of anise and ground spice. Black fruits prevail with touches of pepper and blackcurrant. Firm, savoury yet rounded tannins balance with brightness and lift.
